Ms. Yashaushwani Bakshi holds double graduation in Psychology and Special Education (Learning Disability) and a postgraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi. She is also a diploma holder in Guidance and Counselling from Jamia Millia Islamia University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology and has been associated with the field for over a decade, with nine years of professional work experience. She has worked with prominent schools in Delhi and conducted several workshops and webinars on parenting, career guidance, stress management, teacher training in psychological disabilities and mental health, resilience, adolescent milestones, and many other related areas.
Being an educationist at heart, she has worked at the grassroots level in devising innovative lesson plans for the teaching fraternity and soft skills handbooks for learners and professionals. As part of her training, she has interned at several organizations and hospitals, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD), West Delhi Psychiatry Centre, and BLK Super Speciality Hospital. She has also been involved in various volunteer activities and has designed campaigns and presentations on stress management, character building for students, anger management, and related themes.
She aims to construct an integrated approach towards holistic development, enhance children’s skill acquisition, and develop new approaches and improvements for faculty and parents. She has ongoing projects and is also pursuing certification courses in career counselling, hypnotherapy, and neuro-linguistic programming.
On the academic front, she secured the first position for the highest aggregate in annual examinations in Psychology at her college level and is a silver medalist in Special Education, with a specialization in Learning Disability. She has also co-authored and written several research papers in the areas of women’s well-being, empathy, and perspective-taking in medical professionals.
In 2022, she was awarded the “Career ChangeMakers Award” for her progressive work in the domain of psychology, career counselling, and mentoring. In 2023, she received the Award for “Most Active Counsellor” at the 9th Global Education and Skill Summit Leadership Award.
